Three things to do in & Around River City this weekend.
Thankfully, some of that nice weather is going to stick around this weekend before it drops back into the 20’s next week.
That being said, I don’t have any plans to spend much time outside the next few days, but I would suggest that if you’ve still got your Christmas lights hanging on your house, you should get off your lazy ass and take them down while the temps cooperate.
We’re heading to the Dells this weekend to see my good friend, Pat McCurdy, at the Showboat Saloon…and then likely spending Sunday relaxing and cooking.
If you’re looking for something to do in the area in the next 72 hours…here’s a few suggestions.
FRIDAY – THE DWEEBS @ THE FEATURES FIELDHOUSE IN WEST SALEM
The Dweebs are America’s favorite party band and they are coming to the Features Fieldhouse in West Salem on Friday night!
Doors open at 6pm and music begins at 7pm. Tickets are $10 in advance and you can buy them online here. Or get them at the door for $15 while they last!
The Dweebs play all your favorite party songs from the 1960’s to the top hits of today. Costumes, crowd participation and tons of fun for all who attend! So get your butt to Features in West Salem for a night filled with great music & entertainment!

SATURDAY – “CASH IN HAND” – JOHNNY CASH TRIBUTE @ THE ALPINE INN

Last year, this show at the Alpine Inn sold out…so don’t miss out this go-round. A collection of incredible, local musicians are once again coming together to play all your favorites from “The Man In Black”.
So get your duff up the bluff for “Cash In Hand” – a tribute to Johnny Cash, presented by Broken Wrist Records.
Doors open at pm and the music will start at pm. Two amazing sets of music with a short intermission. Tickets are VERY limited and you can buy them online for just $12. Or get yours at the door for $15 if there are any still available.

SUNDAY – 43RD ANNUAL CHILI SUPPER @ THE AMERICAN LEGION POST 51 IN WEST SALEM
The West Salem Emergency Medical Team is hosting their 43rd Annual chili supper fundraiser from 3pm until 7pm on Sunday at the West Salem American Legion Post 51.
Dinner is available for just $8, and funds from this event will help to purchase supplies and equipment needed to service the community in times of need.
The West Salem EMS is made up of volunteers, and answers medical calls in the Village of West Salem, the Town of Barre, and the Town of Hamilton.
