Three things to do in & Around River City this weekend!
Hello, weekend!
Sure, it’s not too bad today with a high of 42° expected…but look out for Sunday. Temps in the teens tomorrow and by Sunday, it looks to be somewhere around ZERO!
Gotta get my truck in the car wash today & rinse off all that salt and crap.
Other than that, I’ve got a busy weekend planned. If you’re looking for something to do these next few days, here’s a few suggestions:
FRIDAY – RIVER CITY CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING: BREAKING IN THE NEW YEAR 2025 @ THE ROY L. VINGERS POST #52
I don’t think I’ve been to an RCCW event since Riverfest, but I’ll be sitting ringside at the Roy L. Vingers American Legion Post #52 tonight for all the action!
Doors for this event open at 6pm and the wrestling starts at 7pm. Tickets can be purchased online in advance, or grab yours at the door!
On the card tonight: RCCW Heavyweight Champion Devlin Kain will be defending his title in a Heavyweight Championship match, Joey Jet Avalon will see if anyone on the River City Championship Wrestling roster will answer his open challenge, Leon King will defend his Midwest Wrestling Championship belt against AC Riley in a rematch from the “Clash At Caledonia”, and Alvin Gray returns to the RCCW to face off against “Pornstache” Peter Schwanz!
There’s a bunch of other entertaining matches scheduled, and as always…the card is subject to change.

SATURDAY – 9-PIN TAP BOWLING TOURNAMENT TO BENEFIT THE ROCK FOUNDATION @ ALL STAR LANES
Our annual 9-pin tap bowling tournament is at All Star Lanes on Saturday, and there’s still space to join us at 8:15pm. Our 3:30pm & 6pm start times have both SOLD OUT, but there’s a couple of spots left at 8:15pm.
You can register your 4-person team here, or stop by & sign up at All Star Lanes on Saturday afternoon/evening. Registration is $120 per team and includes your bowling, shoe rentals(if needed), and a free tap beverage for everyone on your team. Plus, proceeds from this event go directly to 95.7 The Rock’s Rock Foundation!
We’ll have raffles & prizes, games & giveaways, and all the NFL playoff action will be on the TVs at All Star Lanes. This event is open to everyone, so even if you don’t want to bowl, you can still come down & join us for some fun & a shot at those prizes!

SUNDAY – CELEBRATE NATIONAL CHEESE LOVER’S DAY @ ELMARO VINEYARD
Look, it’s going to be freezing on Sunday. Why not take the short drive to Trempealeau to enjoy some wine, some cheese, and some live music at Elmaro Vineyards????
You can try one of their wine flights, and enjoy $2 off all of their various cheese plates in honor of Cheese Lover’s Day! Check out their full menu here.
The cheese plate special runs from noon until 5pm at Elmaro, and you can also check out some live music from Greg Gall & his Sisters from Another Mother from 1pm until 4pm.
