Three things to do in & Around River City this weekend.
It’s early January so that can only mean ONE thing.
PLAYOFF FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’ll be staying in all weekend with some snacks, my pups, and a whole lot of NFL action. Two games on Saturday and three more on Sunday.
Don’t need to go to Menards. No “honey-do” list this weekend. Nothing.
If you’re looking to get out of the house & do something in public with other human beings, here’s a few suggestions:
FRIDAY – BIG LIQUOR @ THE ONALASKA AMERICAN LEGION POST 336
After your first full five-day week back after the holidays, it’ll be nice to hit the bar for a couple of wobbly-pops, and some amazing live music from Big Liquor at the Onalaska American Legion.
Big Liquor plays rock-ifie country tunes from 7-10pm with plenty of songs about drinking! Get to the Legion early & grab a bite to eat.
Find more info on this event here.
SATURDAY – SPUNKY BUMPKINS @ GENZIE’S GAMEDAY PUB
More live music on Saturday night on the Nort’ side of town.
Our old pal, Brittany Styles, fronts the Spunky Bumpkins and they’re playing from 7pm until 10pm at Genzie’s Gameday Pub. You can enjoy a mix of covers from oldies to currents…with some country, classic rock, pop, & more mixed in!
And I’m sure they’ll have the late game on the many TVs at Genzie’s so you don’t miss any of the action between the Steelers & Ravens.

SUNDAY – ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT BREAKFAST @ THE AMERICAN LEGION POST 51 IN WEST SALEM
I’m a HUGE fan of breakfast…and an even bigger fan of an all-you-can-eat breakfast! Especially one that helps support the American Legion Post 51 and all the services they offer to Veterans in the West Salem area.
For just $12 per person, you can enjoy eggs, Bacon, sausage, biscuits & gravy, potatoes, made-to-order French toast, waffles & MORE!
Breakfast at the American Legion Post 51 in West Salem runs from 8am until 11am and you can find more info on this event here.
As always, there’s a bunch of other events happening in our area this weekend & you can find many of them online at AroundRiverCity.com
And if you’ve got an event coming up that you’d like to see featured on AroundRiverCity.com, you can submit it for free here.
