Three things to do in & Around River City this weekend.
It happens every year.
The End Of Summer Bash. The day that we give away the bike for the 95 Days of Summer. The culmination of months of work finally comes to a conclusion and one person rides away on a brand new Harley.
This year it was Cassie Holm of Iowa! Congrats on the big win!
And every year, I foolishly tell myself that once the End Of Summer Bash is over, things will slow down.
What an idiot! I’ve got so much going on over the next umpteen weekends that it’s making my head spin. Concerts, benefits, golf outings, live broadcasts, craft beer outings…and a whole lot more. Definitely going to need a double-check on my Google Calendar to make sure I’ve got it all written down & accounted for.
If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, here’s a few suggestions:
FRIDAY, 9/13 – BREWS & TUNES @ THE ONALASKA OMNI CENTER
This free, family event is the final one of the year at the Onalaska Omni Center. It’s from 5-8pm with live music from JR Junior from One Accord, food from the Chili Revolution food truck, and beers & wine from both Hillsboro Brewery & Brambleberry Winery.
This is a dog friendly event and is indoor/outdoor, held rain or shine. Find more info on this event here.
SATURDAY, 9/14 – ALTRA ROCKS – HIGHLY SUSPECT, DES ROCS & DEAD POET SOCIETY @ COPELAND PARK & EVENTS CENTER
What a summer we’ve had at Copeland Park & Events Center. Started things off with Seether & Skillet back in May, then Bush…Candlebox…Jerry Cantrell…and Tim Montana in July…
And now we’re ready to wrap up the 2024 Altra Rocks! Summer Concert series with Highly Suspect, Des Rocs, and Dead Poet Society!

SUNDAY, 9/15 – SAL BREAKFAST BUFFET @ THE ONALASKA AMERICAN LEGION POST 336
You know what’s great after a long night night of rocking out & drinking beers?
A breakfast buffet!
Head to the Onalaska American Legion Post 336 on Sunday morning for some breakfast…and maybe a bloody or a mimosa to wash it all down!
This event starts at 7:30am & is open to the public. Cost is just $10 for veterans, $12 for the general public. Kids 6-11 years old is just $7, and it’s free for kids 5 & under.
