Three things to do in & around La Crosse this weekend!
Nothing wrong with a nice, long, four-day, holiday weekend!
Except for the air quality. And the heat. And the eventual mayfly hatch.
Despite all those things, I’m looking forward to a couple of extra days away from work as we gear up for Rock Fest!
I will be at Shep’s Riverside Bar & Grill in Lansing on Saturday for the Rock Stop, so swing by & sign up. And if you need more info on the 95 Days of Summer, you can click here.
Here’s a few suggestions if you’re looking for something to do this weekend:
FRIDAY THROUGH TUESDAY – RIVERFEST @ RIVERSIDE PARK
The 40th RiverFest kicks off on Friday and I’m really looking forward to having some lunch in the park with my wife & booing the Mayor during the opening ceremonies!
Obviously, the Fest runs all weekend and there’s no shortage of things to see & do! There’s live music from Tom Conrad, .38 Special, someone named Cooper Alan, Boogie & the Yo-Yoz, the Remainders, Last Call, Carlie Hanson, & many more!
Sadly, no Hootie & the Blowfish. (sad trombone)
There’s obviously a ton of food, ice cold beer, and plenty of family-friendly activities, including live wrestling from River City Championship Wrestling, magic shows, the River City Water Ski Team water skiing shows, axe-throwing, & SO much more.
Don’t forget….the La Crosse SkyRockers fireworks on Friday AND Tuesday from Pettibone Beach!!!!
