Three things to do in & around La Crosse this weekend.
Last Saturday was GREAT! The weather was definitely “my jam”, and I was drinking crafty, crafty beers all afternoon. This Saturday, the wife & I are going to be doing a DEEP clean in the kitchen. Our fridge is in dire need of a spa-day.
After that, no real plans. Might go out for an anniversary dinner with her parents, might stay home and take a nap.
If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, here’s a few suggestions!
TONIGHT & TOMORROW NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Get to the La Crosse Bierhaus & bring your “Home Alone” DVD, because Eddie Korosa, the “Polka King of Chicago” will be playing live from 6:30pm until 8:30pm.
Yes, Eddie was in “Home Alone” as a member of the Kenosha Kickers(the one with the sweet ‘stache)! They’ve got a great Friday Fish-Fry at the Bierhaus, and a bunch of delicious Hofbräu beer on tap!
Plus, NO COVER! Find all the info here.
On Saturday, bring your appetite to West Salem for the annual West Salem Fire Department’s chicken-q fundraiser!
The event is at the West Salem Fire Dept. on Mill St., kicks off at 11am and goes until 2pm, or whenever the chicken runs out.
Dinners are $10 and include a 1/2 chicken, baked beans, coleslaw, and a dinner roll. Find more info here.
Saturday night, it’s another great fundraiser at the Pearl St. Brewery, featuring their amazing beers, incredible food from Fathead Steve’s, and live music from “The Mondays“. Click here for more info!
It’s the Lancer Night Out to benefit the La Crescent-Hokah School District 300 Foundation. It’s mission is to positively impact students and staff in the district.
Pearl Street Brewery and Fathead Steve’s will donate a portion of profits to the Foundation. Pre-sale tickets are available for $10! Save $5 when you purchase your tickets in advance. Call 507-895-5051 to purchase tickets or for additional information.
On #SundayFunday, get to the La Crosse Distilling Co. for a specialty beer release!
The national #BrewStacheStrong beer collaboration in solidarity with 175+ other craft breweries is a campaign that will raise vital funds and much needed awareness for brain cancer research.
Learn more and get involved at www.StacheStrong.org as we fight towards a cure!
