Three things to do in & around La Crosse this weekend!
It’s cold, but it’ll be in the 30’s on Saturday! So, if you’re gonna be out on the ice or going down a hill somewhere, it shouldn’t be too bad.
I’ll be test-driving & hopefully buying a new pickup.
If you’re in the market for something to do this weekend, here’s a few suggestions:
Now that there’s a LOT less traffic by Riverside park, get your butt to the Freighthouse in downtown La Crosse for some great food, drinks & live tunes from The Jupes!
They’ll be playing in the lounge starting at 6:30pm, and if you’re wondering what I’d order, it’s the Engineer’s cut with some seared scallops. DELICIOUS!
And if you can’t make it on Friday night to check out the Jupes, they’ll be back on Saturday night starting at 7pm.
On Saturday, if I can get this whole truck thing wrapped up by early afternoon, I might stop by the Pearl St. Brewery for a celebratory beverage! And even though I’ve taken the brewery tour several times in the past, it’s a hell of a deal for just $10, and it’s always a good time.
If you feel like joining me, they have a tour at 2:30 on Saturday and another at 4:30. You can buy tickets online here, or just show up & get on the tour in the taproom.
Over 15 beers on tap at the PSB, with some ciders & wines available…plus, some great merch!
Saturday night, even if you don’t ski, you can enjoy some beers and fantastic music with my buddy, Tom Conrad, in the St. Bernard Room at Mt. La Crosse.
Beautiful room, a nice selection of beverages and Tom rocking out on some Neil Young, Neil Diamond and other awesome covers!
Tom starts at 6pm and plays until 8:30pm. More info here.
On #SundayFunday, if you’re not interested in watching mostly meaningless football games, get to the Concordia Ballroom over by campus for more live tunes from Barefoot Becky!
Barefoot Becky & the Ivanhoe Dutchmen will be playing from 1-5pm and it’s only $10 to enjoy some polka music & cut a rug! More info here.
As always, there’s a TON of other events happening in the area & you can find many of them online at AroundRiverCity.com!
And if you’ve got an event coming up that you’d like to see featured on AroundRiverCity.com, you can submit it for FREE here.
