Side gigs you can do from home.

Unlike a lot of people I know, I was going in to the “office” during the entire pandemic.

Many of my friends worked from home the entire time, some of them still working from home.

But if you’re looking for a side gig that doesn’t require you to leave the house, here’s a few suggestions thanks to Zippia.

1. Translating. Obviously, you have to be fluent in another language, but if you are, you can do it from home to earn a few extra bucks.
   
   There’s a few different sites you can peruse for translation jobs including Upwork Translation Jobs, Language Line, and Language Service Associates.
   
2. Become a virtual assistant. These jobs are more commonplace now that a lot of jobs have moved completely online. Things like data entry, emailing, scheduling, & booking hotels can all be done from your couch!
   
   Check out VANetworking, Zirtual, or Belay for job opportunities as a virtual assistant.
   
3. Sell stuff online. I’ve been doing this for the last year now, selling some of my collectibles and even though it’s a bit of a pain-in-the-anus, there’s definitely money to be made selling things like toys, collectibles, vintage clothing, & more.
   
   We even had a story about a mom who quit her job to dumpster dive, and then sell whatever she found online.
   
   Obviously, Ebay is the big one, but you can also use Etsy or Poshmark to sell some of your stuff online for a few extra bucks. Or you could try Craigslist for some REAL fun!
   
4. Manage a brand’s/band’s social media accounts. A lot of brands don’t have an official person running their Insta/TikTok/Twitter. They tend to do it themselves. But, if you’re comfortable using most social media platforms, you might have more experience than you need to be a brand manager.
   
   Try Freelancer for these kind of gigs, or reach out directly to a band that looks like it could use some help streamlining it’s social media accounts.
   
5. Website testing. A lot of companies will hire people to test their sites before they officially launch to work out the kinks. Usually, they’ll pay about $40/hr once you’ve established yourself as someone with some expertise. And all you gotta do is click around & look for mistakes, then provide feedback.
   
   Some popular places to look for these kind of jobs include Userlytics, Usertesting, and TestingTime.
