Three things to do in & Around River City this weekend.
Assuming that I feel better this weekend…and assuming that the weather will actually get into the mid-60’s, my plan is to work on the lawn this weekend. My front lawn really needs to be cleaned up, and the bushes in the front of the house are in desperate need of a trim.
Other than that, my plan is to take it easy this weekend with a few naps and possibly a fire pit.
Got a few busy weekends coming up in the next few months, so some rest & relaxation are on the schedule over the following days.
If you’re looking to get out & do something fun in our area, there’s plenty of stuff going on! Here’s a few suggestions:
FRIDAY – LA CRESCENT LIVE KICK OFF EVENT @ WIESER PARK PAVILION

Much like Moon Tunes at Riverside Park & the Great River Sound shows at Dash Park in Onalaska, the Wieser Park Pavilion in La Crescent is once again hosting summer performances starting this Friday!
“La Crescent Live” returns for their third Summer concert series featuring live music, snacks, and beverages, while gathering with friends and fellow community members.
This “La Crescent Live” kick-off event is free, open to the public, and will reveal this Summer’s full line-up!

SATURDAY – RECORD STORE DAY @ DEAF EAR RECORDS

Shop small. Shop local. Support Deaf Ear Records every day of the year…and certainly on Record Store Day this Saturday!
Deaf Ear opens at 10am and there will likely be people lined up outside to get into the store right away & grab one of the HUNDREDS of limited edition music releases.
There will also be in-store specials & sales all weekend long.

SUNDAY – LIFT UP OUR VETERANS FUNDRAISER @ THE ONALASKA AMERICAN LEGION POST 336

Kelly Colgan is vying to be the next “Conductor Wannabe” with the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra and there will be a fundraiser for Kelly & the La Crosse Habitat for Humanity at the Onalaska American Legion Post 336 this Sunday from noon until 3pm.
You can stop by the Legion in Onalaska on Sunday for a bloody mary bar, a 50/50 raffle, live music from Peter Kish, food, drinks, & more!
Every single dollar raised goes directly to her campaign with 50% going to the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra, and the other 50% to her chosen organization, Habitat for Humanity and their veterans programs.

As always, there’s plenty of other events happening in our area this weekend and you can find many of them online at AroundRiverCity.com
