Three things to do in & Around River City this weekend.
Hey…at least today is gorgeous riding weather!
Tomorrow? Not so much.
As we get to the end of March, there’s no shortage of stuff happening in the Coulee Region, and it’s only going to get busier.
If you’re looking to get out of the house & have some fun, here’s a few suggestions:
FRIDAY – THE LA CROSSE AREA BUILDERS ASSOCIATION HOME SHOW @ THE ONALASKA OMNI CENTER

Spring has officially sprung and it’s time to get started on all those home improvement projects!
Whether it’s painting, some fencing, fixing the gutters, or replacing some windows….if you’ve got projects, you NEED to get to the Onalaska Omni Center this weekend for the La Crosse Area Builders Association Home Show!
It’s the area’s only home show & it runs Friday from 4pm until 8pm, Saturday from 10am until 4pm, and Sunday from 10am until 3pm.
You can meet with over 100 experts in home remodeling, building, landscaping, design, and more. Find the help you need for your next home project!
There are daily seminars, activities, giveaways & more at the La Crosse Area Builders Association home show at the Omni Center.
General admission tickets are just $7 and can be purchased online here, or at the door. Kids 16 & under get in free!

SATURDAY – TIM BEATY ALS BENEFIT @ JOHN’S BAR

If you work in downtown La Crosse, or if you’ve ever been to the Breakfast Club & Pub, or John’s Bar…you’ve probably run into Tim Beaty.
He’s been a cook at the Breakfast Club & Pub for a long time and was recently diagnosed with ALS, a rare, terminal neurodegenerative disorder, commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
There will be a benefit for Tim at John’s Bar this Saturday starting at noon.
The benefit is open to the public & you can stop by for food, beer, a 50/50 raffle, Chinese raffles, live music from Droids Attack, and more!
All proceeds from this benefit will go towards Tim’s medical bills and final expenses. Any remaining proceeds will be donated to ALS research and the goal to find a cure.

SATURDAY – THE COULEE HOOLIE CEILI @ THE LA CROSSE AMERICAN LEGION

Yes, St. Paddy’s Day was last week. But if you didn’t get enough Irish heritage on the 17th, then get to the Roy L. Vingers American Legion Post 52 on 6th St. this Saturday night for the 20th Annual Coulee Hoolie Ceili courtesy of the La Crosse Bantry Friendship Association.
This family friendly fundraising event starts at 6pm and you can enjoy live Irish music & Ceili dancing with instruction provided by Éamonn de Cógáin, Irish food & drinks, storytelling with Terri Visger & much more!
Adult tickets are just $10. Tickets for seniors & Military are $8 each, or grab a family ticket for $20. You can buy them at the door.
Proceeds from this year’s Coulee Hoolie Ceili will benefit the Coulee Region RSVP in La Crosse, and Cancer Connect in Cork, Ireland.

SUNDAY – GREGG “CHEECH” HALL @ THE HISTORIC TREMPEALEAU HOTEL, RESTAURANT & SALOON

You know him. You love him. Now take the scenic drive up the river road to the historic Trempealeau Hotel, Restaurant & Saloon this Sunday to see Gregg “Cheech” Hall perform live starting at 2pm!
He’s a cornerstone of the music scene in our area and has performed for years throughout the Midwest.
No cover, but they will pass the hat, so don’t be cheap!!!
