Three things to do in & Around River City this weekend.
After a week of absolutely beautiful weather, it is going to cool off this weekend. But look for temps to rebound on Monday & Tuesday of next week before we possibly see some snow!
With a bunch of stuff coming up in the next few weeks, we don’t have too many plans this weekend. A friend of ours invited us over to drink his beer, and we will happily oblige. Might find a chicken-Q this weekend, too.
If you’re looking for something to do the next few days in the Coulee Region, here’s a few suggestions:
FRIDAY – FRIDAY FISH FRY WITH CIGAR CITY BREWING & OSKAR BLUES BREWERY @ FORK & FABLE CRAFTHOUSE
The Fork & Fable Crafthouse is a wonderful spot on the Southside of town for both food & drinks, with an incredible, chef-driven menu, and a lot of really good beers in the cooler.
Plus, for as decadent and beautiful the food is, the price happens to be the real star! It’s extremely affordable to have a savory meal with a couple of delicious beverages at Fork & Fable.
This Friday, get to Fork & Fable for a tap takeover with Cigar City Brewing & Oskar Blues Brewery and some Friday fish!
They have their traditional Friday fish dinner, or you can try the Chef’s fish entree special.(Keep an eye on their Facebook page for more info on the fish special!)
Eric from Canarchy will be at the Crafthouse on Friday with some free schwag to hand out and to talk about the various beers that will be available, including the “Designated Dale’s” for anyone looking for an N/A beer. Plus, you can check out their Double Dale’s DIPA, the Cigar City Maduro Brown Ale, and Cigar City‘s Jai Alai American IPA.

SATURDAY – THE 27TH ANNUAL POLAR PLUNGE @ BLACK RIVER BEACH
The oldest Polar Plunge in the state of Wisconsin is back this Saturday at Black River Beach to help support & raise much-needed funds for the Special Olympics of Wisconsin!
The day begins at 8:30am at John’s Bar in downtown La Crosse & Neuie’s Vogue on the North side of town with the FREE shuttle bus! This bus will run continuously throughout the day to shuttle you back & forth to Black River Beach as parking there will be almost non-existent.
You can catch the free shuttle bus to the plunge & register or check-in starting at 8:30am. There will be wood-fired pizzas for sale, free cornhole boards, and souvenirs to check out.
The opening ceremony is at 11am, followed by all the plunging! Shuttle service will end at 12:30pm.

SUNDAY – WEDDING WORLD @ THE LA CROSSE CENTER
