We learned a lot about Bena Fest!

Last day in the 20’s for awhile! Looking at temps in the 40’s all next week.

We started the morning with news about a cell phone ban in classrooms in Wisconsin, a Racine County day care worker who was recently arrested on child porn charges, one of the passengers on that plane that crashed in Toronto reacting to Delta’s offer of $30,000, and are DOGE dividend checks coming?

In sports, Bobby Portis got suspended by the NBA, but it didn’t stop the Bucks from beating the Clippers last night. The Badgers play tomorrow at home against Oregon, and the USA blew it last night in overtime to Canada in the 4 Nations Face-Off.

Elsewhere in sports, check out the video of the chancellor at UNC announcing that classes are canceled tomorrow because of the weather. Safe to say the kids were in favor of that decision. Also, did you see the video of former Vikings punter Chris Kluwe getting carried out of a council meeting in LA? Wild scene.

We let you know what’s on TV and in theaters this weekend, and Doc joined us just after 8am to talk racing thanks to County Materials in Holmen.

There’s a really cool organization that set up a summer camp for kids who were affected by the wildfires in LA.

Stanley is suing Stanley. Nathan’s is trying to sell New York City tap water so you can boil your hot dogs in it, and after the murder of that healthcare CEO in NYC…there’s an app where you can order an armed guard to protect you.

Did you see this story about a “Stonehenge” at the bottom of Lake Michigan?

And in today’s edition of “Bad News with Happy Music”, we had stories about a woman fighting with her HOA to keep her emotional support chickens, an Amazon driver that ran over a woman with his van and then drove off, a family is fighting back against the city government that’s trying to get them to take down their Halloween decorations, a Wingstop employee who threw Ranch & hot grease on a customer, and a #FloridaMan decided to help an alligator that had a football stuck in it’s mouth.
