Top 3 Christmas Rock Songs
Us metalheads dig Christmas too. But unfortunately, we don’t really have a lot to go on for Christmas music. We’re usually stuck with everybody else hearing Mariah Carey 100 times.
Thankfully, some of our favorite artists have done their own versions of popular Christmas songs, and some even made some original works. So with that in mind, here’s my Top 3 Christmas Rock Songs.
3. AC/DC – Mistress For Christmas
You gotta love AC/DC for this. An easy way to get a bunch of metalheads on your side is to write a song about hot girls. But it works! It’s a song I can’t go any Christmas without.
2. Corey Taylor – X-M@$
It’s weird putting a song that’s so overtly anti-Christmas on a list of the best Christmas songs. But Corey Taylor immediately pointed out that he actually loves the holidays a lot, and that this song was directed at grumpy people who hate the hustle of Christmas. That’s why this song is great. Because we all love the holiday season, but we all know it can be a pain in the @$$.
1. Lemmy Kilmister – Run Rudolph Run
A Christmas song written by God, himself? This has to be #1. Lemmy’s take on an American classic gives this song the punch it deserves. Chuck Berry would be proud. I’d love to see the 2 of them perform it in the afterlife.
