Three things to do in & Around River City this weekend!
The election is FINALLY over and I was planning on putting my Christmas decorations up this weekend, but the rain in the forecast is probably going to put a damper on that.
So, as of this moment, I don’t have any solid plans this weekend. Our senior boxer dog has been having some rather significant health issues recently, so a couple of days on the couch watching movies might be just what the doctor ordered.
If you’re looking to get out & do something in the Coulee Region this weekend, here’s a few suggestions!
FRIDAY(& SATURDAY) – PROFESSIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP BULL RIDING @ THE LA CROSSE CENTER
Giddy up to the La Crosse Center this Friday & Saturday night and check out the Professional Championship bull riders!
Go on, now…GIT!
Not only do you get to witness all the beefy, bucking action…but you can also check out the Professional Barrel racers!
Tickets are available in advance online, or you can grab them at the Center box office.
Show is at 7:30pm and doors open at 6pm.
Find more info on this event here.
SATURDAY – PINTS FOR THE PLAYGROUND @ THE PEARL ST. BREWERY FROM 6-9PM
Beer. Music. Food. And doing good things for the community.
Sounds like a good time to me!
Saturday night from 6pm until 9pm, you can enjoy live tunes from Greg Gall and the Sisters from Another Mother, delicious food from Sparky’s Spit, and plenty of tasty beverages at the PSB!
This fundraising event will help add swings to the playground at North Woods International Elementary. There will be a 50/50 raffle, and the Pearl St. Brewery is kindly donating $1 per drink to the cause!
I know that getting to the Pearl St. Brewery recently has been difficult with all the road construction, so be prepared to find a way around to the parking lot, depending on the status of that project.

SUNDAY – BESTIE FEST @ THE STONEY CREEK HOTEL & CONFERENCE CENTER IN ONALASKA FROM 11AM UNTIL 3PM
The 2nd annual “Bestie Fest” may not be my jam, but if you & your ladies wanna down some mimosas, do a little holiday shopping, learn a new skill or two, get your Tarot read, and maybe win some prizes playing music BLINGO, then get your tushies to the Stoney Creek Hotel & Conference Center in Onalaska on #SundayFunday.
This event is from 11am until 3pm and it’s FREE to attend, but the classes will cost you a bit of coin.
Enjoy a workshop with Sip and Paint, make a custom designed bracelet or personalized bath salts, use your skills to make a one of a kind slate mosaic, learn sourdough baking skills or take a class in herb mixology!
