Three things to do in & Around River City this weekend!
Halloween has come & gone and I’ve got to get those decorations put away!
That’s on the agenda for yours truly this weekend. Also planning on some fall cleaning as we get ready to set the clocks back.
If you’re looking to get out & do something this weekend in the area, here’s a few suggestions:
FRIDAY – HOUSE OF SHADOWS HAUNTED HOUSE IN SPARTA
Yes, Halloween is over, but that spooky season can linger for another day or two, right?
If you’re not ready to give up on the most haunted time of year, then get to Sparta this weekend for the House of Shadows haunted house!
From 5:30 until 6:30pm, you can check out the “Not So Scary” session. Tickets are just $6 and this is perfect for families with young children or anyone who prefers a milder fright, complete with a flashlight to guide your way!
If you prefer things a bit spookier, come a bit later for their “Very Scary” experience! Only $15 for tickets and this is available for anyone aged 8 & up(children 8-12 must be accompanied by an adult).
The House of Shadows is located at 501 Osborne Drive in Sparta, and all proceeds from ticket sales benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Sparta.
Also, the Onalaska Jaycees have partnered up with the House of Shadows this year to collect non-perishable food items!

SATURDAY – TWISTED SKULL’S 13TH ANNIVERSARY PARTY @ FATHEAD STEVE’S
Big congrats to our good friend, Jake Phillips, as he celebrates the 13th Anniversary of Twisted Skull Studios in downtown La Crosse!
Party with Jake & the rest of the staff from Twisted Skull Studios at Fathead Steve’s this Saturday night starting at 6pm with live music from “The Grey Area“, “Farewell Voyager“, and “Midnight Gravediggers“.
There’s food, drinks, a costume contest, and over $3,000.00 in giveaways during this party!
So don’t put that Halloween costume away just yet! Strap it on one more time & get to Fathead Steve’s for a hell of a good time.

SUNDAY – PACKERS POTLUCK PARTY @ CHARLIE’S INN
Do I really need to explain anything here?
The Packers take on the Lions on Sunday at 3:25pm in a battle for the NFC North and you’re going to want to be at Charlie’s Inn for their potluck party!
Plenty of TVs to catch all the action, and Charlie’s will be cooking up something yummy to get the party started.
Plus, Charlie’s will be giving away prizes and drinks during the entire game!
Put some meatballs in a crockpot, or grab a seven-layer dip at Festival Foods & head to Charlie’s Inn this Sunday!
