Three things to do in & Around River City this weekend.
Gonna pop back into the upper-70’s this weekend, so I’m definitely getting on the Harley at some point.
I was hoping to spend most of my weekend moving the shit in my garage into my new shed in the backyard. Unfortunately, the shed needs to be craned over the house and that’ll have to wait until next week, apparently.
Other than that, I don’t really know what to do with myself the next few days. If you’re looking for something to do, here’s a few suggestions:
FRIDAY – COMEDY @ THE MAIN – AN EVENT SPACE
Had a blast at the Main – An Event Space this past Wednesday for Shaw’s retirement party and I’m definitely looking forward to going back for another concert, event, or comedy show!
Doors at The Main open at 7pm with comedy starting at 8pm. Tickets can be purchased online in advance and you can even pick your own table now!
Appearing on the stage this Friday night is Rodney Lumpkins & James Stanley.
Rodney has performed in clubs and at colleges all over the country, was featured in the Laugh Across America Comedy Festival, the New Orleans Comedy Festival, & the Chicago Comedy Festival.
James Stanley is from Woodbury, MN and has been honing his comedy chops for over a decade and has opened for nationally touring headliners like Sean Patton, Stavros Halkias, Dusty Slay & more!
SATURDAY – TRI-STATE TERROR HAUNTED HOUSE @ BAUER’S MARKET & GARDEN CENTER IN LA CRESCENT
The Tri-State-Terror Haunted House is at Bauer’s Market & Garden Center in La Crescent this Friday & Saturday from 6:30pm until 9:30pm, and next Friday & Saturday nights as well. There’s also an All Abilities Access day on Thursday, October 24th from 11am until 2pm, and a Kids’ Day on the 26th from 11am until 2pm.
This event is only $7 per person, or just $5 per person when you bring a non-perishable food item! Proceeds will go to various charitable organizations in the area.
You can find out more about this event here.
SUNDAY – 6TH ANNUAL THRILLER PARADE IN DOWNTOWN LA CRESCENT
Sunday night in La Crescent, it’s the 6th Annual Thriller Parade/Performance and you’re invited to join in the fun, or just stop by & watch the action!
This event is free to everyone and open to the public and will take place in the La Crescent Community building parking lot on 1st St.
You can find more info on this event here.
As always, there’s a bunch of other events happening in our area this weekend & you can find many of them online at AroundRiverCity.com
