Three Things to do in & Around River City this weekend.
MASSIVE weekend ahead with lots of bikes coming to the La Crosse area for the Big River Rally.
Here’s a line-up of everything that’s happening:
FRIDAY:
The Oktoberfest grounds open up at 4pm with a vendor market, food available from Sparky’s Spit, The Woodshed Mobile Wood-Fired Pizza, and The Chili Revolution food trucks, a ride starting at 5pm at Rod’s Ride On Powersports that will head down the Wisconsin side of the Mississippi River to Shep’s Riverside Bar & Grill in Lansing, then back up the Minnesota side of the river to the Fest grounds for live music from The Weathered Pigs & Buckcherry!
SATURDAY:
Saturday morning, the Veterans breakfast runs from 7am until 9am with eggs, pancakes, sausages, coffee, juice, milk & more! Tickets are only $10 and can be purchased here. This event is open to everyone, and raises money for the Veterans Service Commission, which provides aid to vets and their families in need. There will also be a colors presentation by the All Legion Color Guard before the breakfast.
At 10am on Saturday morning, there will be a bottle signing with Jesse James Dupree of Jackyl at Great River Harley-Davidson. You can purchase bottles of Jesse James spirits at local Festival Foods & bring them with you to Harley.
At 11am, the Big River Rally ride will leave from Great River Harley-Davidson and make it’s way to Hillsboro Brewing Co. Join Wisconsin sports radio legend “The Big Unit” Bill Michaels and Jesse Jame Dupree from Jackyl as we ride to the Hillsboro Brewing Company. Try our New Official Beer; The Big River Rally Sweeper… right form the source!
If you won’t be able to join the ride, the Festgrounds open at 11am and there will be food, drinks, vendors, a bike show, and the Extreme Yamaha Experience stunt bike show with Bill Dixon at 1pm, 3pm & 5pm! The grounds are open to the public & free to attend on Saturday afternoon!

SUNDAY – HOLMEN’S 60TH ANNUAL KORNFEST
If you don’t get enough food, music, beers, & fun at the Big River Rally on Friday & Saturday, take your ass to Holmen for the 60th Annual KornFest!
This event runs all weekend, and on Sunday, you can enjoy the St. Elizabeth breakfast from 7am until noon, the Phil Wahl Classic horseshoe tourney, BINGO from noon until 4pm, live music from the Madlee Band from noon until 4pm, and more live tunes from Moniker starting at 5pm. Plus, the car show swap meet at the middle school, charcoal chicken, the carnival, and of course……THE SWEET CORN!
