Three things to do in & Around River City this weekend!
Gonna be a steamy one this weekend…so stay in the shade, stay hydrated, and stay indoors with the AC!
Other than the Rock Stop at Shep’s Riverside Bar & Grill in Lansing on Saturday, I’m essentially “work-free” all weekend, but if you’re heading out, I’ll probably run into you.

FRIDAY – CULT MOVIE NIGHT PRESENTS: “ARNOLD’S BIRTHDAY BASH DOUBLE FEATURE” @ THE RIVOLI THEATRE & PIZZERIA
Arnold celebrated his 77th Birthday on Tuesday, and to celebrate this momentous occasion, I teamed up with my friends at the Rivoli Theatre & Pizzeria in downtown La Crosse to bring you “Cult Movie Night Presents: Arnold’s Birthday Bash Double Feature”!!!!
We asked you to vote on your favorite Arnie films, and on Friday night, we’ll take the top two vote-getters and show them back-to-back at the Riv!
Our winners were “Predator” with 20% of the vote, and “The Running Man” with 24%. Doors at the Rivoli will open at 5pm on Friday with “Predator” starting at 6pm, and “The Running Man” starting at 8:05pm.

It’s finally here! After kicking off the Altra Rocks! Summer Concert Series at Copeland Park & Events Center back in early May with Seether & Skillet, we’ve waited patiently until now for the next show!
Saturday night, Bush brings their “Loaded: The Greatest Hits Tour” to the Lumberyard with special guests, Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains, Candlebox, and Tim Montana.
Grandstand seats are still available but are in short supply, and there’s also tickets available for the on-field GA section. Buy them online here, or get yours at the ticket office at Copeland Park.
Early-entry ticket holders get in starting at 4:30pm, and the gates open to the general public at 5pm.
Let’s remember that it’s going to be a hot one on Saturday with high temps in the low-90’s…so PLEASE drink & party responsibly!
SUNDAY – SUMMER MUSIC ON THE PATIO @ FOX HOLLOW FEATURING ABBEY LANE
I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again. Fox Hollow Golf Course has one of, if not THE BEST beer selection in all the Coulee Region. So, if you enjoy a wide variety of tasty adult beverages, check out Fox Hollow.
And don’t forget about their incredible food, including the wood-fired pizzas.
This #SundayFunday, they’ve got the amazingly talented Abbey Lane on the outdoor patio starting at 1pm. Fox Hollow has tables & chairs available, but it might get packed, so feel free to bring a lawn chair just in case.
No cover charge, so use that extra cash to tip your bartenders, servers, & entertainment!
