Three things to do in & Around River City this weekend!
Have no fear…the warmer weather is here!
Looking at temps in the mid-to-upper 40’s next week with a possibility of 50° by next Friday! Gonna be in the upper 30’s this weekend, and there’s plenty of stuff going on in the La Crosse area.
Here’s a few suggestions:
FRIDAY – HAIRBALL @ THE LA CROSSE CENTER
A BOMBASTIC celebration of all things Rock & Roll!
Hairball returns to the La Crosse Center this Friday night with our good friends in The Caminos opening the show! Doors are at 6:30pm, and music starts at 7:30pm.
Tickets are available online, or you can buy them in person at the La Crosse Center Box Office & save on the Ticketmaster fees. Don’t forget, I’ll be hanging out at John’s Bar in downtown La Crosse for the official Hairball pre-concert party! We’ll crank some tunes, have a few cocktails, and I’ll be hooking two people up with $50 in beer money for the show!

SATURDAY – MODEL RELEASE PARTY @ GREAT RIVER HARLEY-DAVIDSON
Now…I know I just talked about how nice the weather is going to be over the next ten days or so, but it’s still NOT riding weather.
I’ll ride in 50° weather, but not with all this slop on the ground. But, that doesn’t mean you can’t head to Great River Harley-Davidson on Saturday for their 2024 Model Release Party!
Whether you’re looking for a new bike in the new year, or looking to customize what you’ve already got, you can find it this Saturday at Great River Harley-Davidson!
Check out the new stuff from Harley-Davidson starting at 11am. They will have info on the latest models, parts, accessories, & more. Plus, you can enjoy free food & enter to win door prizes!

SATURDAY NIGHT – CULT MOVIE NIGHT @ THE RIVOLI THEATRE & PIZZERIA
The wife & I look forward to Cult Movie Night every month, and this Saturday, the Rivoli Theatre & Pizzeria celebrates the 1 Year Anniversary of Cult Movie Night with a couple of fan-voted movies!
Doors open at 5pm and “Serial Mom” starts at 6pm, followed by a brief intermission, and then “Robocop” at 8pm. There will also be special, pre-roll trivia, music, & clips from both films! And a VERY special treat awaits after “Robocop” wraps up!
You do know that “Robocop” has one of the greatest movie deaths of all time, right?
Tickets can be purchased in advance online, or you can grab them at the door. You’re going to want to show up early, as they will have limited edition Rivoli stickers that look like the “Robocop” logo for Cult Movie Night attendees!!! And make sure you stick around after the films for a post Cult Movie Night Happy Hour in the lounge area!

SUNDAY – EUCHRE TOURNAMENT @ FEATURES IN HOLMEN
I’ll be honest.
I hate Euchre.
And it’s not even the game itself that causes me so much hatred. It’s trying to learn from people who already know how to play Euchre.
Every single time I’ve tried to learn to play, some jag-off rapidly explains how it works, then they deal a hand to show you, somebody says “I’m going alone”, and I lose without ever drawing a card or laying any cards down.
I just don’t f**king get it.
I’ll stick to “Go Fish”.
But, if Euchre is your jam(and I know a TON of you love this card game), then get to Features in Holmen this #SundayFunday for a Euchre tournament!
It starts at 1pm and is only $10 per person to enter. Of course, they’ve got great food at Features, incredible bartenders & waitstaff, and plenty of TVs to catch the Conference Championships this weekend!
