Three things to do in & around La Crosse this weekend
Somehow, I have ZERO Rock Stops this weekend. Not sure how that happened, but I’m definitely going to drink some beers & sleep in!
If you’re looking to hit a Rock Stop or two this weekend, here’s a list. Only 21 left!
And if you wanna get out & do something in the area this weekend, here’s a few suggestions:
FRIDAY – HALF MOON PARTY/SIMON’S BIRTHDAY PARTY @ ECKER’S APPLE FARM
It’s no secret. I LOVE going to Ecker’s Apple Farm. They have a great set-up, a really nice tap list featuring craft beers & ciders, and they’ll be celebrating Simon’s 40th Birthday! I’m going to try to make my way out there after spending the afternoon at Irishfest.
This party is 21+, and it’s FREE! There’s going to be live music from Sheep for Wheat & The Histronic, plus food from the Monkey Business Food Truck, Taco Town, and Two Scoops Ice Cream!
No pets allowed for this party, and Simon politely asks that you wear NEON!

SATURDAY – IRISHFEST @ THE SOUTHSIDE OKTOBERFEST GROUNDS
Irishfest is this weekend & it’s got EVERYTHING!
Food. Drinks. Music. Dancing. The cultural tent. The Highland games. The Tug-O-War. Vendors. Irish storytelling. Travel tips. And so much more!
The opening ceremony is on Friday at 4pm, and some highlights for Saturday include the Highland Games at noon on the North Field, the Harp Twins at 4pm and again at 8pm on the Harp Stage, and Gaelic Storm on the Main stage at 8pm.
Make sure you stop by the genealogy tent and get some help from one of the spectacular volunteers to trace your family lineage. I did this last year and was so impressed with how much info was available online!

SATURDAY NIGHT – BRET MICHAELS WITH FIREHOUSE @ HO-CHUNK GAMING BLACK RIVER FALLS
I cannot WAIT for this show! I’ll be your emcee at Ho-Chunk Gaming in Black River Falls this Saturday night for Bret Michaels with Firehouse!
Gonna have some beers, and rock out like it’s 1987 all over again. Reserved tickets are sold out, but you can buy GA tickets here for $55. Every ticket sold includes $15 in rewards play at the casino!
This is a 21+, outdoor show, and gates open at 6pm. Firehouse starts at 7pm, and Bret will take the stage at 8pm. For more info, click here.
SUNDAY – NICK FOYTIK @ FOOTJOY FARM & BREWING
If you’re looking for a nice ride on a #SundayFunday with some live tunes, good food, and great beers, this is your jam!
Get to Footjoy Farms & Brewing for live music from Nick Foytik this Sunday starting at 4pm. Grab a flight of beers & chow down on one of their INCREDIBLE pizzas!
