Biggest Rock Artists of 2022 – Bags’ Top 10
All in all, 2022 was a pretty great year for the Rock genre. We made some new friends along the way, and some old favorites of ours came storming back. Rock Fest was a blast as always, and we got new songs that will become part of the soundtrack of our lives.
So with that in mind, here are the artists that I felt made the most out of 2022.
10. Giovannie and the Hired Guns
9. Godsmack
8. Papa Roach
7. Red Hot Chili Peppers
6. Blink-182
5. Five Finger Death Punch
4. Foo Fighters
3. Jelly Roll
2. Falling in Reverse
1. Metallica
It was hard to not give Metallica the number 1 spot. Earlier in the year, Master of Puppets made itself back into the charts due Stranger Things fame. Then at the year’s end, they hit us with a new song, album, and world tour announcement.
Falling in Reverse continues to grow in popularity, while Jelly Roll and Giovanne and the Hired Guns came out of nowhere to gain our immediate love.
Blink-182 coming back and releasing a new song took us all by surprise. But thanks to Ticketmaster, good luck making it into the pit next year.
It was bittersweet adding Foo Fighters to this list, as part of the reason their year was so big was due to the tributes to Taylor Hawkins. We’ll miss him dearly, but his legacy will live on.
I also have to give an honorable mention to Pantera, who somewhat reformed towards the end of this year. However, it was only their announcement that’s had our attention. They haven’t yet done even a fraction of what they’ve scheduled. So definitely look for them near the top of this list next year.
Now let’s relive that Stranger Things moment that made Metallica’s year.
