The things you learn 7 years into a marriage.
My wife & I have been together for almost 14 years, including 7+ years of wedded bliss.
Just like everyone, we’ve had highs & lows, but I thought I was done being surprised by her. I thought I knew all there was to know.
Boy, was I wrong.
You see, I blow my nose. A lot. I don’t think I have a sinus issue, but I just like to have a clean nasal cavity. It helps when you talk for a living and breathe through your nose as much as I do. Maybe I should get it checked out.
I usually blow my nose 7-10 times a day, regardless of the season. Right after I shower in the morning, after I get to the studio, several times during the day….shit. Maybe I do have a sinus issue.
Regardless, as I was blowing my nose the other day, I sort of had an epiphany when I told my wife that I don’t think I’ve ever seen her blow her nose in all the years we’ve been together.
And to my absolute surprise, she confirmed my assumption. She said she almost NEVER blows her nose.
Is that strange? Am I too critical? I don’t think there’s anything wrong with her, but I find it extremely odd that she doesn’t blow her nose.
I feel like I’m now on a mission to actually see this event.
With all of the intimate stuff you share during a relationship/marriage, why is it something so trivial that boggles the mind?
