Hanging Out With Skeleton Crew Brew
If you know anything about me it’s that I love beer. Beer is good, beer is good beer is good, and stuff. I also like making beer which is one of the reasons Skeleton Crew Brew in Onalaska is one of my favorite places to go. The Wife graciously bought me a gift card for there for our anniversary and I have made a goal to make at least one batch of beer a month this year. Todd and Brandon are always an incredible help and resource when it comes to making a recipe and getting everything I’ll need for a successful brew day.
They also make some damn tasty beers. My personal favorite being the new RyePA which has a nice hoppy taste with decent citrus with a good bite of resin bitterness that makes the next sip that much more enjoyable. The Wife, when not with child as she is now, enjoys their stouts and porters.
The atmosphere at the taproom is unlike any other brewery I’ve been to. They have the indoor bar that’s all out tiki hut and an outside patio that’s more of a courtyard in it’s size. During the winter they have set up little igloos for you and your pals to hang out in to stay warm and also enjoy some outside time.
Check them out Tuesday through Thursday 4-9pm Friday and Saturday 12-10p and Sundays 12-5. Get a crowler, talk to Todd or Brandon and enjoy a very tasty beer or two. Here’s my interview with Todd.
