Is there a pit in this avocado?

We all remember “The Dress“, right?
Was it white & gold or blue & black?
In a survey on Buzzfeed, most people saw white & gold.
There’s been several other popular optical illusions to hit the web since “The Dress” and now, we’ve got this avocado to argue about:

The picture on the left is the original, and I’d say there isn’t a pit/seed. However, similar to “The Dress”, if you darken the original photo a bit, you get the pic on the right and now I’ve changed my mind and it looks like the pit/seed is in there.
