Thanksgiving side dishes we’re already fantasizing about.
I think I’d be happy without turkey on Thanksgiving.
That’s not to say “I don’t like turkey”, but I’m fine with just eating all the sides.
Stuffing, mashed potatoes, my wife’s cousin’s crockpot mac & cheese, green bean casserole, the deviled eggs, etc.
Turkey’s fine, but I load my plate with WAY more side dishes than meat.
However, since Thanksgiving is going to be a small get-together this year with just my in-laws, rather than the traditional large gathering….we’re going to try a Turducken!
I’ve had one in the past, but someone else cooked it. So this should be an experience!
A recent survey asked people what side dishes they’re fantasizing about already and the top ten are:
- Mashed potatoes (How stuffing isn’t #1 is beyond my comprehension)
- Stuffing
- Gravy (I wouldn’t call this a side dish)
- Cranberry sauce
- Sweet potato casserole
- Biscuits
- Green bean casserole (this should be higher on this list)
- Mac & cheese
- Roasted carrots
- Brussel sprouts with Bacon
Now, if you asked me, my top ten would go more like this:
- Stuffing
- Stuffing
- Stuffing
- Mac & cheese
- Stuffing
- Green bean casserole

That’s the list.
